SocialMediaStarz is a place for everyone to shine. These guidelines exist to ensure that our community remains a safe, creative, and inspiring space for all creators and their audiences. By using the platform you agree to uphold these standards.
Be Kind & Respectful
✓ Do
- Treat every user with dignity regardless of their background
- Offer constructive criticism when asked
- Celebrate other creators' successes
- Engage in good-faith debate and discussion
✕ Don't
- Harass, bully, or humiliate other users
- Leave hateful or derogatory comments
- Engage in targeted harassment campaigns
- Threaten or intimidate anyone
Keep It Safe
✓ Do
- Add content warnings where appropriate
- Use age-appropriate language in publicly visible content
- Report content you believe violates these guidelines
- Protect your own personal information
✕ Don't
- Share graphic violence, gore, or self-harm content
- Post content that sexualises minors under any circumstances
- Publish personal information (doxxing) about other users
- Promote dangerous challenges or activities
Be Authentic
✓ Do
- Represent yourself honestly in your profile
- Clearly disclose paid partnerships and sponsored content
- Use your real likeness or clearly labelled AI/avatar accounts
- Credit original creators when sharing or remixing content
✕ Don't
- Impersonate other creators, public figures, or brands
- Create fake engagement through bots or purchased followers
- Spread misinformation or deliberately false content
- Use misleading thumbnails or titles to bait clicks
Zero-Tolerance Behaviour
✓ Do
- Report zero-tolerance violations immediately using the flag button
- Support survivors who come forward
- Promote resources for those who need help
✕ Don't
- Post child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — will result in immediate ban and law-enforcement referral
- Incite violence against individuals or groups
- Promote terrorism or extremist organisations
- Engage in human trafficking or exploitation
Content Categories
All content on SocialMediaStarz falls into one of three categories:
Original creative content, entertainment, education, lifestyle, commentary, satire, fan works with credit, and sponsored content with clear disclosure.
Mature artistic content (must be marked 18+), graphic news coverage (must include content warning), strong language (must be age-gated), and sensitive topics handled with care.
CSAM, content promoting violence or terrorism, doxxing, non-consensual intimate imagery, illegal goods and services, spam, and coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
Influencer & Creator Standards
Creators on SocialMediaStarz hold an elevated responsibility given their reach. We expect verified and high-follower accounts to:
- Clearly label all sponsored content with
#ador#sponsored - Avoid promoting unregulated financial products, MLMs, or dubious health claims
- Model positive engagement behaviour for their audience
- Avoid using their platform to coordinate harassment against other users
AI-Generated Content
AI-generated images, video, and audio are permitted on SocialMediaStarz provided they are:
- Labelled with the
#AItag - Not used to create realistic-looking impersonations of real people without consent
- Not used to generate non-consensual intimate imagery of any person
- Not used to spread disinformation or mislead audiences
Enforcement
When we identify a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions depending on severity:
Content removal
Violating content is taken down immediately.
Warning
A formal notice is added to your account.
Restricted mode
Limits on posting, commenting, or going live.
Temporary suspension
Account access suspended for 1–90 days.
Permanent ban
Account permanently removed from the platform.
Law enforcement
Illegal content reported to relevant authorities.
Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may submit an appeal within 30 days of the action by contacting appeals@socialmediastarz.com. Include your username, the content in question, and why you believe the decision was incorrect. We aim to review all appeals within 5 business days.
Reporting Violations
See something that shouldn't be here? Use the flag (🚩) button on any post, comment, or profile to submit a report. Our moderation team reviews every report. You can also email trust@socialmediastarz.com for urgent or complex reports.
Filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of these guidelines and may result in your account being restricted.
